Steve was reported as saying(with a heavy dose of Mancunian sarcasm no doubt)that the royalties from thier version was NO's contribution to sending John Denver into space(maybe never to return!!), as he had previously stated somewhere that he'd love to go up on a space shuttle mission at some time in his life. And as I once stated in the Madonna thread about her new album, there is a bass riff played by Stuart Price in I Love New York that mirrors the guitar/bass lines in ICB.

At least they didn't do it with back to back singles from the same album ala White Stripes with The Denial Twist and My Doorbell.

No idea how Vanilla Ice won that court case. It's such a blatant rip of the bassline and the same notes on the keyboard kinda gives it away too. Can someone tell me how Vanilla Ice won? I heard it's something about an "extra note". 
I saw some interview on VH1 with Ice, and he's claiming it's not the same riff. He says "Theirs goes like this.....da da da dada da da and ours goes like ....da dada da dada da da" or words to that effect. Tell it to the lawyers.......or Suge Knight, Ice.

Theres barely a difference. Queens goes 'Da da da dada da-da' Ice's goes 'Dada da da dada da-da'

That doesn't make any sense because Mad World came out in the early 80s...True Faith wasn't until 1987.
On top of that, both songs DO NOT sound alike.
