that's why in this country rounders and netball are mainly played by young children, and in the case of netball, female ones mainly.

Even though I'm a footie fan...I have to say I do a double take at the thought of anyone over the age of 12 still playing soccer in this country, especially men.
A shame to hear a fellow American speak of the greatest game in the world - but can be understood. It is all about preferences, I suppose. I quite love football/soccer and enjoy watching our US Men's national team climb with each game....
England watch out....(no real disrespect here, just a friendly nod).

it can happen. it doesn't happen often, but a second or third league team can beat a top flight team, in the cup competitions.

I wouldn't say that, just look at the last Champions League final Milan:Liverpool, first half 3:0, and then FCL took the title. It was fookin unpredictable.

i suppose they took into account the red sox's first world series win since selling babe ruth almost 100 years ago, and the white sox's first series win in almost that long.

Nice job Tex on that game last night. The blown call where TX got a TD despite Vince being down aside, their was no way USC deserved to win last night, they couldn't stop him when they really needed to. Plus dumb mistakes by Leinart, Bush and Carroll further doomed the Trojans. Make no mistake though, even though Leinart was absolutely near-perfection in the second half, Vince was truly money with his running and passing, it really looked like he was playing flag football, as I heard in passing on the Rome show. Plus the stellar tackling by Micheal Huff was a lovely thing to watch.
Still don't like Mack Brown though, he's always bugged the hell outta me since he was a fcukin' Tar Hole...

Thanks. I agree that SC got hosed on a couple of calls. But, Vince was not going to be denied that night.
We don't get Rome in this market anymore, but I was just imagining what his takes were on SC.
As for Mack, most people down here like him (even before this year). My point to folks who wanted him gone was who in the h-e- double hockey sticks are you going to get to replace him??!? He's averaged 9-10 wins a season most of his eight years here.
