I'll take yer to 'Kings' on Oldham St, you can definitely get injured there playing pool. A veritable madhouse ![]()
fishing? you might stick a wee hook in yer finger now and then, but if you take up a little light match fishing, I'm sure you'll survive. Don't advise going after blue marlin or especially wrecking for Conger...I mean if reeling the cnut in doesn't ruin you...spending the next hour or so in a small boat, unarmed, with an angry 80lb Conger will put you in hossy
(once hid with 5 other big strong men, in a wheelhouse while a 25-30lb-er took over the deck area...we were stuck there till it found the bait bucket, then we got a sack on it and got it bac home..IT'S home....you really would never think a fish would try and feed out of water, but eels are fucked in the head)
Actually played 5 a side a few months ago, after my 37th b/day and came through it without many aches at all.![]()
Actually...I left out the bit aboutmy last mackerel fishing trip leaving me batter and bruises and heavily barnacle scarred.
No sense of balance on these PK's and have also lost all ability to shift my weight rapidly...makes rocks a nightmare, which is fuckin annoying cos i been hoppin rocks like a clegg since I was fuck all size, and could even do it with my full adult homer-gut.
Geez, my previous post for this topic was meant to be a funny joke. I didn't think it would backfire since none of you guys understood it. ![]()

it didn't backfire did it ....no one was rude or upset with you?
But...nope dunno what you meant :D
I'm sure he wouldn't hurt as bad as mr sumner would after you bunch cornered him.
Steve, I thought that your post had a typo. It would sound a lot funnier if you said, "I'm sure he wouldn't hurt as bad as mr sumner would after you bunch cornered him." since "she" would have been attributed to Maya. Now that I read the post now, I can see that "he" refers to Mr. Sumner. Sorry for the misinterpretation.
I can be a witty person, provided that I get some inspiration. I'm good at coming up with stuff in a few seconds. Apparently, that didn't happen at this post.
Can't believe it started with my curling post... OK I will finally leave the matter alone![]()
ten pin bowling is great, especially as you can drink beer whilst playin. i always play better after 3 pints.![]()

No alcohol (shall be 28 days into a drive to lose 2 stone by the summer), no staying out all night (travelling back straight after the gig rather than staying overnight), no shite kebab from that place a couple doors down from the Old Monkey (which poisoned me in November). And I shall be sat down at the back rather than down the front.
Shite really, the band better be good!

my grandmother curled well into her 80s. she even had a curling stone-shaped whisky flask; that's dedication for ya.
i already play Ice Hockey & Soccer and i am really interested in trying Curling, but im not sure where to go or how to get started, do i use the broom in my house or is their a special one?![]()
old people here play lawn-bowls. i've actually tried it a few times. it is quite an intriguing game.
