R.I.P.
I actually was in line behind Thin Lizzy at Gatwick, coming back to the U.S. They were having visa issues, so they let me pass ahead of them. Well, it was probably the roadies, maybe the band-- I wouldn't have recognized any of 'em except Lynott, and he was definitely not in line. Still, all their guitars and stuff were there.

Good story. You should have offered to take Phil's place. They're doing quite well nowadays.

I don't think they would have traded Phil for me-- it was in '78, maybe '79.
I was lucky enough to see Thin Lizzy, around the time Phil was shagging Leslie Crowther's daughter :)
