The following is an e-mail I received today. It's got to my post box via NOOL. Anyone else got this crap?

I keep getting emails saying I've won a Russian or EU lottery.

Looks dodgier than a four pound note (copyright Alistar)

I think spotty sells our adressess....60% of my spam comes to my NOOL registration address.....despite ANY address @ slightlynarrowbeing delivered here.....let's just look at those figures again.....

I'm getting loads 'from' Paypal. It says they have detected a 'foreign ip address' trying to use my account. Give them credit it looks legit, even has proper links to paypal, but they want me to click a link to verify my paypal account, which DOESNT go to paypal.

It probably is a link to a key logger or other rogue app that with gather all my details and send them back to them.

If ever you are unsure save the email as html, then open it up in notepad and look at the trailer. You will see a load of random web addresses where the offenders are coming from, they are never that clever to supress sending them.

Then email them back with a harsh & sarcastic insult

I Keep getting the same PAYPAL e-mail, even though my paypal account has not been linked to that e-mail account for at least a year!, i just delete them

every so often i get one supposedly from e-bay wanting various details.

a nasty one i had lately was supposedly from the cia saying that i had been a bad boy on the internet. the cia home page lists this as a fake. under no circumstances open the attachment, as it contains a nasty virus. luckily my internet protection thingy removed it.

Apprently the best way to deal with these guys is to play along, but keep winding them up and putting them off.

there was an article on theregister.co.uk about a year ago that had links to a website dedicated to pissing scammers off. there were some really REALLY amusing ones...one guy had this African fella strung along for fucking ages, and had him sending passport pictures to him and all.
