I couldn't find this if it's already been done. I thought a bit about this so here we go.

In no particular order

Waiting for the Siren's Call - New Order Kasabian - Kasabian Some Cities - Doves Matt Mays & El Torpedo - -Matt Mays Arcade Fire - Arcade Fire

( hon. mention goes to Marble Index, Depeche Mode, John Frusciante, Archive, Kardinall Offishall and Gorillaz but they fell short in their own ways)

I based my choices on how infrequently I had to skip a song or songs and how long the album remained in my player.

I only bought 3 albums made in 2005. They were WFTSC, Depeche Mode's Playing the Angel, and Billy Corgan's The Future Embrace. The first two are rather good. Corgan, however, needs to realize that he should stick to guitar solos and writing lyrics and keep away from the synthesizers, unless someone like Alan Wilder, Roger O'Donnell, Chris Lowe, or Bernard Sumner helps him create interesting programming and synth lines.
