Your teachers never forget.....

My mom was at work and a woman asked her if her last name was, well what it is (I don't now why I pretend I can be anonymous on the internet), and my mom said "Yes, yes it is". The woman said "Oh my god, I taught your daughter in Kindergarten".

When I was in Kindergarten, I am pretty sure my mother was younger than I am now...or around the same age. So she is of course thrilled that someone recognized her from her 20s and said she's barely changed a bit. I'm a bit weirded out that a teacher remembered me 21 years on.. but I guess it means I was a stellar kid.

I ran into my Headmaster from Primary School the other day. I remembered him because he's... ahem... distinctive looking. But he bloody remembered me! I'm quite pleased that i still look the same as i did when i was 10!

as a teacher i can say that you're mostly right--although there are a few you'd like to forget!

I was at an opera with an ex-girlfriend about 3 years ago and during the interval I saw my old headmaster approaching the bar. This was 15 years after I'd finished school yet he recognised me & was about to come over but I think the look on my face made him change his mind. My brother never got to finish secondary school thanks to him & a tosspot of a trainee teacher who, by all accounts, was utterly clueless. That incident was 1988 so he obviously remembered that too!

Friends & I have met nearly all our former teachers at times over the years & they nearly always remember everyone by name. Some achievement considering all the students they'd have dealt with in their careers.

I ran into my 7th grade Latin teacher when I was buying coffee and a Tasty Kake at a Wawa. I'm not surprised she remembered me, because I grew my hair since 7th grade and got glasses. But then again, I was both a good student and a behavior case back then.
