Which Peer to Peer software do you use?

I use e-mule, seem to get anything on it, any know of any other good ones ?

Been using Soulseek for the last 2 years - basically made for the exchange of electronic music. Unknowns, random mixes, and all the stuff you have been looking for ages all seem to pop up on there in (mostly) good quality.

I think the most enjoyable service I ever used was Audiogalaxy pre-lawsuit action a few years back. I'd started with them when they first came out, along with the old mighty Napster.

Soulseek for me.Downloaded a certain album we all know from there in about early February last year ,nearly 2 months before it's official release on March 29th.

But rest assured i did still buy the CD when it came out too.

Downloaded loads of other stuff from there.You can find most things.

I have tried Kazzaa, but that's a really evil program. Or the users that use it. Spyware and viruses all the time.

Melly is right tho, AG ruled....(melster, did you run it on your 'nix box? it was a fooking init spawned daemon LOL). got most of my digital NO stuff that way, much easier to do than trying to convert it all, and perfectly legal too.

I don't use P2P anymore because of the legal troubles. I did use Grokster four years ago before the chaos started, though.

Azureus uses a thing called safe peer which seems to keep the bastards out. I have had 2 letters from my ISP, both because someone ELSE wanted something "latest and greatest"...the very things that are being watched. no on cares if I download Dr Who tv rips, especially since I already paid for them :D

Used Winmx until it was shutdown recently. Soulseek now.

I also used WinMX. Didn't know that it was shut down, though.

Once had Napster and Audiogalaxy (found stuff from The Triffids and The Pop Group on the former, the 30 minute full-length version of Nick Cave's cover of L. Cohen's Tower Of Song on the latter, which I've accidentally deleted in the meantime).

Tried to use WinMX a couple of times, with no success, and can't get registered at Dimeadozen for the torrents. I do use the Live Music Archive for some shows by Mekons, Supersuckers, and Camper Van Beethoven in the non-lossy formats.

I did indeed run it off my nixbox, could find everything I wanted ot hear there! argh, i miss it. soulseek's really fine, but AG was.. as the kids say.. tha bomb.

e-Mule, but not too often. Iam afraid of gettin some fookin viruses and other stuff. BTW can you guys recommend some anti-virus software? Now I use Avast.
