New Computer at last!!!! — Forum Archive

Looking for help from me ole fruitckaes DigiMike, JT and OB here (and anyone else) :D

I now have a DVD-RW compooter, I can copy discs I have in my collection, unless they were recorded on my stand alone recorder......which has all my Electronic projects and several brilliant neworder performances :nonono:

I texted JT and spoke to Mike last night, so programmes will be on the way so I can edit and convert stuff.

Does anyone have anything at hand so I can start playing on me new machine?

If anyone has Nero6 and a serial key - that will mean I can do CD's as well as DVD's, so don't be shy :D

Please have patience though, cos I haven't got a clue what I'm doing at the moment :lol:

And Nick, now I have a computer that can copy DVD's - I couldnae care less about it being out of date, I'm always out of date matey ;)

Once I work out how to create and edit my own DVD's I'll be as happy as a pig in shit :nod:

I do need a serial key for spyware doctor.

I just tried to download a crack and infected ma fucking computer, you couldnae make it up if you tried :cry:

I have already run adaware which found several fuck ups and quarantined them, I am now running spyware doctor and there's another 80 files????

It's a second hand computer from a friend of a friend, I've been a good bhoy....honest.

OB sorted me out with Nero 7 so I can burn ma music which is ace, still havnae mastered the DVD part of it though, I tried a new order mpeg to DVD but it never turned out.

Fuck.

Steven, there were already a couple of DVD copying programmes on here - CopytoDVD & DVD Decrypter. These are good for copying DVD's I've been sent in the past, but there are no editing functions, plus they don't read the discs I have spent the last year copying from fuckin video :nonono:

I think JT and Mike are sorting me out with Pinnacle, OB has sorted Nero 7 for me. After another week or two I should finally know what I am doing.....hopefully.

I am desperate to get this Electronic DVD completed and out the way

first of all, get rid of ad-aware and download spybot. it's much more effective as ad-aware doesn't come with all of the necessary items to completely DELETE the spyware from your computer unless you actually buy it, whereas spybot includes everything for free.

Cough up the $15 USD and get trend Micro System's antisypware program. It kicks ass, works fast and can clean the history off your pc. Plus it is updated more often than AdAware and Spybots.

I've never had any luck editting video in DOS Xp, or any version for that matter. I've tried vegas video, adobe premier and even a version of avid (which more or less sat down and said "no mac, no play".)

get a mac?

Steinberg Nuendo does video, seems to have a lot of issues importing audio from video's cos of the pissy formats often used, and it doesn't read .vob files (vcd's yes) not tried the newest version tho.

Sorry missed that somehow. It's an Anglo American Racers (Dan Gurney) Eagle-Weslake. I have been up since 9 this morning putting Electronic ontae ma fucking computer.

I have worked out a way to put the files on here, but it's a right cunt.

If I use a DVD-RW disc and copy one thing at a time using my stand alone recorder I can then put it onto this computer. I have been up and down the stairs all bastard day and I'm fucking knackered cos sometimes it doesnae work and I have to record whichever clip again :mad:

I have now got most of the TV appearances and interviews stored on the computer, I will leave the promo vids till later, I want to try a dummy run. Pun naturally intended.

I was gonna be giving this DVD out as a freebie, I am now thinking a tenner each after all this bastard work :baby:
