A friend of mine posted this on their blog today. It made me sick to my stomach. Now I Pass the savings onto you!

"If you could make black pudding using your own blood, your own appendix (as a casing), and your own fat (via liposuction), would you be happy to eat it?"

I am someone who was actually a fan of black pudding, but I think this post might have put me off it for life.

love black pud.

i get a toasted bacon/black pud & melted cheese sarnie before most saturday games.

some of the old alkies in me local love pigs belly. they bring it in from the butchers, but so far i've declined to taste.

if i didn't know the black pud was human, then i'd probably eat it...as long as it's still black.

Never liked the stuff a great deal. Human may taste nicer tho, and it's good to finally know what the apendix is for.

I rather like the fast show sketch with the foreign cookery show explaining black pud....most amusing "yah, con Blut!"

if you gave me a million dollars (or better yet, a million quid), i'd fry up those excess body parts and eat away.

I love Black Pudding, nearly as much as White Pudding which I had in Dublin one Bank Holiday. But HUMAN? Brings to mind a thread on here not so long ago on a food named after "Tofu" but was a human meat substitute, and some website was selling it mail order!:dead:

Black Pudding (or White) is the most revolting stuff. You fry a load of old blood, guts, gore and 'casing' and eat it with brown sauce. Why?:confused2: Pick a scab instead - it's yours, you know where it came from and it's half the calories!

I've stayed up countless evenings when I've heard Omega Man was going to be on. Terrific movie for the 70's sci fi era! The costumes alone are worth it. :D I've got to get that on DVD.. putting it on my list now.

re:topic... errrr, can't say I'm a big fan of black puddin', but human components might actually make it taste a bit better, in a Donner party kind of way.
