To be honest, 3 million male decendants dont sound like a lot after 1600 years. if he had 12 sons & each of them had (on average) 2 sons & on & on . . . - it would only take 20 generations to get to 3million male decendants. And if you use 25 years as the average gap between generations then that would only take 500 years.

apparently if you only go back something like five generations, you will find that most of the world's population is related in some way or from. this taking into acoount the raping and pillageing done by colonisers, soldiers and slave owners. although i am sure there must still be some isolated villages somewhere, that had minimal contact with the outside world.
