Bought Forever Changes today.
WOW!!!!
Bought it after reading Stephen Morris recommending it in NME, and saying JD were going to cover a track but he couldn't get the drums right.
Just finished listening to it again, and I can safely say that this is an awesome album.
Any other fans?
Found Four Sail in my da's CD collection, so giving that a spin.
Not bad, but I believe that Lee replaced the classic Love lineup with others.

Forever Changes is a classic album! Deffo a fan here. Actually have all of 'em on vinyl, Forever Changes also on CD. And Four Sail is a different lineup. If I'm not mistaken, Hendrix plays a guest spot on one of the songs on that one (or at least on one of them).
They're one of those bands I keep hearing about, but can never find even at the "hip" college area record store (and trust me, they have all sorts of obscure shit at this place, so it must be impossible to get).

The person who wrote and produced the first recording experience for Jimi Hendrix, the first to create music that since found a name PUNK,and generally a very well kept secret.Repeatedly refered to as a genius,LEGEND, was first rock band signed by Jac Holzman of Elektra Records, got the Doors on Elektra by insisting Holzman check them out. The Doors were doing 3 sets a night at Bido Lidos for $10. On breaks Morrison would go to The Whisky where people were circling the block to get in and see Love, Morrison quote, "If we could just be as big as Love". Arthur refused to tour and did it his way,as always. Hendrix is on False Start also on an LP called OUT HERE put out by Big Beat from London, this LP includes music Out There, False Start and Love Live/Studio. Arthur found this LP in my collection in 89, much to his chagrin, he knew nothing about this release, so he wanted his money.
Well go get those free Live shows at The Love link I left and you can certainly bid at EbAY on LP's, CD's and DVD a collection of early stuff to the 80's I think. Also Amazon has Love material.MIDNIGHT RECORDS on line also carries LOVE music. THE OLD WALDORF download at Torbens site is Great.
I'm really sorry I created link to Art-Bin.com because it looked like it was going to be a good article and after having posted it as link I read it and had to e-mail the author to point out all the errors in the post...like The Syd Barrett, Moody Blues influence on Arthur when actually it was these artists who were influenced by LOVE. Their work wasn't released until after LOVE had recorded 3 LPS and disbanded. Then the new crew came along and recorded FOUR SAIL, LOVE'S last LP for Elektra in Sept. of 69, and the flavor changed. His info on the Doors is all screwy...They met Holzman because Arthur persuaded Holzman to check them out, he was hesitant but ...anyway LOVE & THE DOORS didn't perform together for this encounter. Arthur actually got The DOORS on ELEKTRA and Jim is quoted as saying LOVE was his favorite band. So his attempt to suggest that lyrics from THE DAILY PLANET from FOREVER CHANGES had been copped from THE DOORS LP. title WAITING FOR THE SUN. which was released in Sept. '68. Almost a year after FOREVER CHANGES at which time the original LOVE broke up. And Arthur's born March '45 not in 1944. By the way there was alot of drama this summer and the fan site I directed you to split and divided as did Arthur's latest incarnation of LOVE (Baby Lemonade back up band). So it was big time Breaking Camp for these die hard LOVE fans who many decided to shun Arthur after Mike Randall (lead guitar)posted alot of things in his diary he may well have kept to himself,BabyLemonade announced they fired Arthur and would go on as THE LOVE BAND,announced it in RollingStone, who laughed.Arthur decided not to do European Tour in July and the band went anyway, from there on it was too much DIRTY LAUNDRY being posted inappropriately. Arthur never read a word, nor has any idea what went down.He's 5 zillion miles away from interest in any of it. It was brutal too. But if you download the Spain Festival you'll see a pitiful example of what the Band had to deal w/ working with him.He is so fu#*d-up I understand from Randall 9/10th of the audience split by the 2nd or 3rd song.Isuggest you see no more than that either it is a Pitiful, Heartbreaking, mess. Arthur had taken all night flight from LA to Spain then a 5 hour taxi ride to festival site arriving just moments before going on,,as headliner of course, he would never play in any supporting capacity from day 1. Anyway that trip provided ample opportunity for him to get f#*d up and he certainly is.,,,just had to forgive myself for posting that link, wanted you to know the Facts on that guy's article. Cheers
