The Matt Dillon movie from the 70's titled Over The Edge was a decent one about teen alienation from idiot adults.

I forgot about Carrie. I loved that movie when I saw it as a 14 year old.

As far as a Matt Dillon movie, "My Bodyguard," also from the '70s was rather good, except Matt Dillon plays the bully and I think Chris Makepeace is the bodyguard.
