If Sven wasn't about to make somewhere around £10 million over the next two years (salary plus pay-off plus new contract to manage, say, Real Madrid), he'd be kicking himself - it's the perfect opportunity to cruise through the group stage, raise false hopes and then go out to Spain, Portugal or Germany in the quarter-finals.
