Robbie Fowler back to Liverpool

The two prem matches in which Fowler played this season (both Manc Derbies) he played well even scoring in one. He also scored a hat trick in the FA Cup, yet most of the season he was playing reserves. Yes, he was recouping, but he proved good enough to at least be on the bench.

Grr

I knew this was going to happen, I just thought they'd ride out his contract and he could prove himself.

Fucking City.

"Liverpool are his dream club and he wanted to leave and rejoin them," City boss Stuart Pearce said on his club's official website.

Pearce added: "If I refused him this opportunity of fulfilling his ambition it would not be good for him or Manchester City Football Club. We wish him well for the future and thank him for his efforts."

Haha, I laughed when I read the news. Why would Liverpool want him? How much would his wages be?

Finest finisher of his generation though, and considering the current crop of Liverpool strikers can barely hit a barndoor with a banjo it's probably good business sense.

Cisse just beat on his wife and they're ready to be rid.

What I don't get is how is someone who this season wasn't good enough for City, good enough for Liverpool? It seems backwards to me!

It's been talked about in town for a couple of weeks now. He supposedly said he would come back and play for free cos he didn't need the money (he owns houses all over NW Enland). How true the play for free is I don't know but his shirt sales over the wekkend will probably pay for his wages over the 6 months of any contract anyhow!

God is home

He cant last the 90 minutes so the idea is you bring him on with 20 to go when the defenders are getting a bit puffed - there are a few 30 somethings in the Prem like that. LFC use Sinama Pongolle like that at the moment, maybe he wont be there much longer....

City wanted rid of him as if he played another two league games (or something like that) they would have to actually pay 100% of his wages, as leeds were paying half up until then. Good business on city's part if you ask me.

The "lords" prayer:-

Our Fowler Thou art is scoring Robbie be thy name Thy transfer has been done On a free as it is in January Give us this day our favourite Red Alonso will give you the best passes As Carra stops those who pass against us Deliver us the title And lead us not into relegation For eleven is your number Forever and ever Our man
