another one of those pioneers. the came into my train of thought when Mark Spoon bought the farm. their remixes for 'Relax' were good, but the U.S. mix tops 'em all.

  1. Welcome to the pleasuredome (Album version)
  2. Rage Hard (Slam Bam)
  3. Two Tribes (Annihilation)

notable mentions to: The Power of Love Relax (U.S. mix)

make that 2 tribes Carnage and Rage Hard (young person's guie to the 12") and you have a deal.

k, that's the thing.

there are so many discrepancies as the name of mixes for those tracks.

the Rage Hard version I dig is the 12 minute version with the fembot narrating her way through the tour of the 12-inch. "Note the sequencer, it will never let us down" it's noted as being Rage Hard (Slam Bam) on the 12" single I have.

the Two Tribes version I like clocks in about 9+ minutes and includes the speech about what to do when you hear the air attack warning. Hearing Reagan's speech, "condemn me, condemn me..." This one is noted as Two Tribes (Annihilation).

Timeless.

That version of Rage Hard (Young person's guide to the 12") is just a faded edit of the 'Slam Bam' version. The lobed off the last 1:30 with the dry ending and replaced it with a really bad and in appropriate fade. even the edits and album versions have that dry ending. possibly suffered a tpk fate of being edited in order to fit the cd

Yeah but I used that name as it's more descriptive, besides if I recall, there is no subtitle to the mix on the original 12".

...and this should have gone on guilty pleasures....

I was a MASSIVE FGTH fan, they were the first "name band" I went to see in concert (and yes they played live, even the addon Peter Oxendale played his fairlight and synclavier live...SHAME ON NEW ORDER!), and they ROCKED.

I don't listen to them much any more, in fact I downloaded WTTPD a few weeks ago, and the only track on it I still like is the titletrack(the mixes of Relax, and TT suck, and POL is a poor master compared to the single)

I can do a damned good rendition of POL too, be warned :D

But the best thing about FGTH was buying the ZTT sampler to hear the track Disneyland (which sucked ass)...and discovering Propaganda (I'd already discovered AoN). I still listen to Propaganda and AoN ALL the time.

I'd also be forced to admit that the ZTT production team have had just as much influence on me as New Order . (tho mark O'toole, while probably being the reason I got a bass, was obliterated by Hooky within 6 months of me getting the thing)

Might I remind you Mr Rocket Sir that 3 of em were straight ;)

Tho I'll confess the fact of Mr Rutherford having his fudge packed by that BurnsTHING, is possibly the most nauseating thing imaginable.

Actually, there's more than three. I can't list every song of the top of my head at the moment, but I do have some sort of a 'best of' type album....the second disc was filled with remixes though. They did an interesting cover of the song 'War', and they also covered the 'Do you the way to San Jose?' song....they also did that song 'The Power of Love' as well. So, contrary to popular belief, 'Relax' wasn't the only song they made.
