These damp mouldy walls of buildings, still waters of the canals, the stench under the shadow of gloomy firewalls and the most sorrowful rains in the world. Not there anymore...
I used to wander around the city a lot, hours. I believe there's no street in the center I haven't been to.

What.... you think I took up doing sound cos I like it or I'm good at it? BOLLOX to that, it's the best way to sneak GALLONS of beer in to a bar....even if the doormen LOOK in the kit bag...they shriek in fear at all the cables and look no further.

While the public transport system may not be the finest in the world.....there's NEVER a dull moment on a belfast bus.
And there are always friendly locals on hand if you need a hand...
the old fortifications are now the park that circles the city.
my house was a bit to the left of where the sailing ship on the bottom left of the map is. you can actually see Woltmershausen there. it is basically a village by itself. if you go to the right of the map, you can see the home of Werder Bremen , the Weser Stadion. go Werder in the Champions League, although it looks like we will come in second this year in the german championship.

In fact....everywhere in the following is within 3mins walk of my home.
A full 15 mins walk away wwe have the venue for our coastalparties (it's JUSt ut of sight as the coastline vanishes away)

After that roundabout you then enter the loyalist Harryville area with its infamous Chapel which is right beside the 11th Night bonfire spot

Sounds like a good day out all the same....especially if you pass out small arms to both sides :D Darwin in action.
aintree is before Kirkby, north of Liverpool. about 15 or so minutes from, city centre by car. the home of the Grand National Steeplechase, and a bloody good day out on the ale. but we always go on the Thurday before the National (never on the Saturday coz its too packed), and quite often see the Liverpool players there having a flutter. its full of bill and danny in their hats.
real Cavern is well gone. the fake Cavern seems to satisfy the Japanese tourists though.

“Seven Towers” – old Parish Church, St. Patrick’s Church of Ireland, First Ballymena Presbyterian Church, All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Old Town Hall, Braidwater Spinning Mill and Ballymena Castle. Unfortunately only three towers now remain; Old Parish Church, St Patrick’s Church of Ireland (the Church I belong to :)) and All Saints Roman Catholic Church.

I like this photo 'cause I used to live in the apartment building that had the rooftop pool (you can see it in the lower-left), and on game days, the Goodyear blimp would buzz the roof of the building to check out the girls in their swimwear. Kind of like the climax of Close Encounters.

My place of business is located on the other side of the green building in the center, which is a grass seed warehouse.....and a prime magnet for hungry rodents of all size. With the railroad tracks on the left, and a homeless shelter somewhere on the right, it's no wonder we find empty liquor bottles and used drug paraphenalia all of the time (biggest joke is that the city police department is half a mile down the road to the right....

the scary thing is that these pics could just about of any country town here.
