These damp mouldy walls of buildings, still waters of the canals, the stench under the shadow of gloomy firewalls and the most sorrowful rains in the world. Not there anymore...

I used to wander around the city a lot, hours. I believe there's no street in the center I haven't been to.

My university is relatively near somewhere

That's my eparchy, I grew up there:

That's the street where the central police department is:

This is New Holland. There was a nice bar I drank with my friends in. Usually we tried to sneak in with beer bottles that we had bought in a store (cheaper!):

What.... you think I took up doing sound cos I like it or I'm good at it? BOLLOX to that, it's the best way to sneak GALLONS of beer in to a bar....even if the doormen LOOK in the kit bag...they shriek in fear at all the cables and look no further.

A traditional firework celebration in Belfast

The lively street parties often present the council with a bit of a cleanup

Belfast's friendly and tightly knit communites take decorating their own streets for their various festivals very seriously.

One of the many helpful tourist information signs.

While the public transport system may not be the finest in the world.....there's NEVER a dull moment on a belfast bus.

And there are always friendly locals on hand if you need a hand...

the old fortifications are now the park that circles the city.

my house was a bit to the left of where the sailing ship on the bottom left of the map is. you can actually see Woltmershausen there. it is basically a village by itself. if you go to the right of the map, you can see the home of Werder Bremen , the Weser Stadion. go Werder in the Champions League, although it looks like we will come in second this year in the german championship.

A full 15 mins walk away wwe have the venue for our coastalparties (it's JUSt ut of sight as the coastline vanishes away) And a little further round the coast.....

three postcards. you see the Roland Statue here. the guarantor of the city's freedom, as he is staring at the cathedral, you can see in the other picture. smart people those old citizens of Bremen. Roland, or Orlando as he is known in the Latin speaking countries was a knight in charlemagne's army.

I am not going to post any photos of Ballymena :D

I don't know how to post pictures yet but a syringe and a bible would sum up Ballymena nicely.

Where's Aintree then? They run horses there now cos they had to abandon the Brittish Grand Prix as there's nothing sadder than a whole grid full of F1 cars up on bricks.

(and oldie with a fresh twist :P )

Real cavern was next door and had been flattened or something aint it?

After that roundabout you then enter the loyalist Harryville area with its infamous Chapel which is right beside the 11th Night bonfire spot :uhoh:
