Who wants to come down to my neck of the woods and keep me company on Tuesday, February 14? I got some beer on ice, my kin-folk are all about washing once a week now, and we just now got an extension on the doublewide :toothless:

I'd like to think that in the next two weeks, my lifelong drought will change and I'll finally have a reason to celebrate Valentines (a lovely and very accomodating reason) :evil4:

But knowing my luck, I'll be watching the complete Friday The 13th series (because nothing says "love" like a masked killer ripping horny teens to pieces) :chainsaw:

you posted several pics of yourself he has evidence :D (don;t sulk Ron I'm only kidding)

I'll get a peck on the cheek from Leanne (and muttley floating will occurr) and probably a couple of abusive emails from females (femails?) and I'll be content, it's a trillion time more than I been used to most of my life.

excellent...you go see tabbsy, then when you come back I can claim that the 4 dozen red roses I sent you got nicked from your door, and that the council eventually towed away the rather large box of milk tray I had delivered.

That will work out well all round then!

Since I'm still new to this (let's say my life was full of short relationships that uses to be over before any holiday or birthdays), I still have to figure what the hell women want at those valentine day...

I feel giving flowers is boring, but somehow that still works... don't ask me why!

Especially when our cats finally manage a way to reach and they are gone within 2 days...

Oh well... ;)

With all my previous 'escorts', i always insisted in 'celebrating' the day on any day but the 14th. Valentine's Day is a bullshit idea created by the card companies anyway. It's difficult getting into a decent restaurant, if you do it's a limited menu, they rush you out and overcharge you for the privilege. And don't get me started on flowers.

Fellas, instil in your girlfriends that they'll get more for their money on another day.

But don't forget the card, you have been warned!

My best Valentines Day moment was getting a phone call on around the 20th Feb from someone I used to go out with. I’d not spoken to her for ages, so it was a surprise to hear from her. After some small talk she said “Thank you for the flowers”. I’d not sent anyone any flowers, but it transpired that someone had left some on her doorstep – beautiful ones with a little question mark on the card. I told her I didn’t know what she was talking about, of course, but she wouldn’t listen. “Thank you anyway, it made my day” she said.

Well, I am looking into expanding my horizons, so to speak. My sis made the very good point a few weeks back (about the time of my whole "walking away while the girl I love bitches about her boyfriend" situation) that I tend to get stuck on one girl (no pun intended) while ignoring all the other possible girls I could get stuck on (pun intended :nonono: ).

But I still really care for this specific girl. Because I'm either a hopeless romantic, or just plain hopeless.

Example: Tuesday was her birthday, so I tried to get her a nice card over the weekend so I'd at least be the first guy to get her something (though not too much, because that screams I'm desperate and potentially dangerous to women for some reason). Well, I don't get it to her on Sunday because she leaves work before I can remember to do so. So during my two-hour break between classes on Monday, I drive all the way back to the store (I'm attending the lovely and nationally-known Clemson University now, btw) and intend to leave the card with one of her friends, to pass along to her.

But none of them have come in to work yet, and I don't plan on hanging around for one to do so. So...I leave it with the boss-man, to pass along to her when she comes in to work later that day (Monday was one of those days where I got nothing right, btw).

I'm pretty sure she got it, but I haven't talked to her any this week, out of plain nervouseness. Why? Because I wrote the following:

"Just wishing a happy birthday to the prettiest girl I know named Nicki (which is you, by the way),

Luv ya, Trevor"

Innocuous, noncommittal, friendly...and yet I'm afraid I may have actually clued her in to how I really feel :nervous:

And I'll probably have to work with her sometime this weekend. And I've been groomed by my past experiences with women and greeting cards of any kind to expect the worst.

So yeah, I might be looking around for something new :smoking:

How dare you, sirrah? Clemson has produced many leading lights of thought and culture, such as Strom Thurmond............okay, I see your point about the whole "Cletus U" thing :cowboy:

But yes, there are some lovely co-eds here...must be part of the requirements (you know, so many minority students, so many foreign students, and a ton of hot girls) :evil4:

Sorry, I just had one of those "oh shit" moments a little earlier when I realized I may have actually let the one I love know that I love her (through a birthday card, nonetheless) :nervous:

That is, if my boss passed it along to her :evil4:

Otherwise, I could be freaking out over nothing...

I'll just buy myself some chocolates to pretend that I'm loved. Or I'll wait a week until they're on sale at the convenience store. Maybe I'll buy myself some fake flowers while at it.

LOL Tabbsy made a very valid observation that I pick up and runs with...

All your life you are told....NEVER GIVE UP, QUITTERS NEVER WIN, BE A MAN, STICK AT IT, IF YOU WORK HARD YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU WANT. the Romantic aspect of this is backed up by every movie every made on the subject of Love.

How can people be so fucking retarded....if you follow ANY of that advive...you ened up hated and potentially in jail.

My advice based on reality and not total bullshit.....

If at first you don;t succeed, walk away.
