Surprise, surprise.
I have an irrational hatred of Newcastle, born at an early age, so I still hope the fcukers go down.

I actually like graeme souness , for sure.
He was guest manager of my Filey-Butlins junior-5-a-side team.

At least he's got that to fall back on!
I think they should appoint Mick McCarthy.
It will of course be Shearer though. Surprised he isn't already chairman!
Well now what? Who are they going to wheel in now? Thick as bottled pigsh** if you ask me...
shite manager but a monster of a player. you would need yer head testin to go 50/50 with him.
Ruins every club he goes to, wish Newcastle would have kept him a bit longer :D
Still a great player for Liverpool though.
Yeah, Souness is shitty.
I wanted Blackburn to get relegated with him in charge because he fucked their team up. I never really liked Newcastle but I liked how he fucked their club up as well. Still can't believe he signed Owen to such a sub-standard team. It is also funny seeing him get riled on the sidelines.

He was a great player, but a dickhead who ruins clubs.
I loathe Newcastle too. I think it's because they seem to think they have a god-given right to be a top club when, if we're honest, they haven't been a big club since th 1950's...
... haven't they?!
BEST Captain Liverpool have ever in had in my life time.
Terry Mc back on the burger vans.
and Dean Saunders back operating empty car park spaces.
Bar Codes for the drop.
another Fake Big Club imo.

In fairness, he's not THAT bad manager, just completely the wrong type of manager for Newcastle. Souness had relative success at Blackburn, and in Turkey, where he had teams who did exactly what he did as a player, which was kick the shit out of the other team. No doubt a job in the lower leagues await, or a full time pundit on sky.

Yip, P3 W0 D0 L3 FSFA A5 Pts0...there was a player's strike just before the first game against Guinea for more pay! Booed at the airport as they came back yesterday, hope they had to pay for their own tickets.. Like I say, Souness is the man, its completely f'ed up already so he cant do any harm!

You not heard of the Lee brothers, Clark and Bowyer then?! Or, indeed, Alan Shearer.
Worst defence in the Prem by a long chalk. Bramble and Boumsong, I ask you. How much did he pay for the latter?!?!
I dislike Newcastle because their fans are portrayed by the media as the most loyal, unique bunch around, while booing their own players and manager. They think they're a huge club despite having won less than Middlesbrough in the modern era.
Can't see the logic in sacking a manager at the end of the transfer window, although I suppose if they have someone in mind (though this is Newcastle) it'll give the new manager till the end of the season to tack stock of his squad.
