There was a alot of Teeside aggro in the eighties.Apart from Sunderland,Everton fans were the worst.. I remember as a kid caught up in a fuckin riot at Ayresome Park playing Everton in the cup,exhilarating,primal,tribal...does'nt happen anymore,which is for the best..Would'nt happen in the first place if they never removed boxing from schools in the 60's,but thats another tale.......

Yep,tho Everton Fans started it by ripping scores of seats out and throwing them,along with countless old 10p coins thrown(very profitable for us kids at the time)And then there was Everton away,when Everton fans stormed the boozer Boro fans were in.....Outnumbered and under seige, Boro fans stood firm and give them another pasting.Its all documented in an Everton holigans Memoirs,when he says the Boro fans showed gameness never seen on their turf by away fans...All Macho gobshite,but true...Mind you,The police saved Boro fans skins at Stamford Bridge in the 89 play offs,when THOUSANDS of Chelsea fans stormed the Boro end, as Chelsea were relegated...I was 15 and very fucking scared!!My mam saw the news and tryed to stop me going to the match ever again :(
