All great albums, but had to pick Zenyatta, because I've played it to death.

Ghost in the Machine I like the cover and Invisible Sun is a great song.

listened to a bunch of their tunes a few day back and had forgotten how much they meant.
like listening to any and all. their sound was big part of learning how loud you can feel and sing. if you can feel loudly.

Only have the original best of CD from 1986 and 2 7" singles-Don't Stand So Close To Me & Roxanne, with Peanuts and Friends on the b-sides.

I also have their boxset--everything they recorded on 4 cds. Really pisses me off only 4 cds worth of work. Not that the boxset is bad, mind you it has Shambel on it but they only had enough material for 4 cds. Should have been alot more.

i think the reason they didnt have a lot of extra's is because they used to tour like crazy and write their albums while they were on tour so not much time to tinker around if you have the police vidoes dvd they have an interesting documentary on them recording Ghost in the machine, hosted by jules holland and they talk about how they wrote and recorded, at leat until that point of their career

Very tough poll. But Regatta does it for me only coz of Message In A Bottle. I was 11 when it came out and was blown away by it. Then I vaguely remember them performing Walking On The Moon live in the Countdown Studios (Melbourne, Aus) in front of a very bad moonscape set.

Haven't voted, but The Police was my first concert....with XTC opening (lucky, lucky me). Actually went cause I was a bigger XTC fan, but it was a good show, but the openers were better.

Is Syncronicity the one with Mother on it? That one always made me laugh.......plus I can't really stand the De Do Do Do song, so I'll vote for that one. I did like the one with Walking On The Moon on it as well.

cant stand losin you , the uk version of the single had really good sleeve art ,a bloke, a block of ice and an electric fire .

The only Police single I've ever enjoyed listening to is Every Breath You Take. Apart from that, I find this band's music terribly bland.

I would have bought Synchronicity as a result, but hearing the other single on that album put me off. Money's still tight!

Sting has however recorded SOME half-decent solo material. Fields Of Gold being the best, though you buy his/their records in hope rather than expectation. But I guess that's just like listening to British radio stations...
