i have to draw the line somewhere. ah crap i'll say yes, but on the proviso that she doesn't play her "music" while i'm around.
No apologies but that would be big fat HELL NO!

The attitude really turns me off. It's either they are really pissed off or retarded. Sometimes both.
once went out with a girl called Marzi from Toxteth who looked a bit like "Salt" on the right.
she did a boss egg and pineapple curry!!!

If by date, you mean fill her mouth and keep it filled until the date is over, thus preventing her from "talking," yes, I could date a hip hop fan. No problem. ![]()

that's pepa on the right. spinderella's on the left and salt's in the middle.
Hum... good question... as long as I don't have to go to gigs and don't listen to the music in the car and she's nice.. why not.
I then would have a mission to convert her in the right direction of course.
I'm a hip hop 'fan'.. really I'll listen to just about anything, so it's not a problem for me to date a fan of any type... that is, unless they are so tight onto their own music they can't appreciate anything else.
Makes car trips a little unbearable. ![]()
By hip hop fan, I mean someone who isn't going to string sentences together in ebonics. I'm not really down with trying to decode it as a slang language. ![]()

i think by fan we me do you love it as much as say new order? well i too can listen to it but not 24/7. perhaps 2/14. that would be my limit.
When I think of "hip hop fan," I think of the girls I see dancing in the hip hop videos-- the soul-less, vacant-eyed, materialistic appendages to the pimps, drug dealers, and murderers "keeping it real" with their raps.
I like a lot of the hip-hop from back in my preteen and teenage days, and every now and then I'll hear a rap song that I take a shine to. I've never really felt compelled to pick up a rap album (though Public Enemy's "greatest hits" collection could make its way to my record collection if I ever get around to it, and I have been fighting with myself about getting Kanye West's stuff because "Gold Digga" is a guilty pleasure of mine). ![]()
I think the very fact that it's the dominant musical format on most radio stations (other than pop-country crap) makes it a bit annoying, but back when it was still a more outlaw genre makes up for the excesses of today. That's my two cents, anyway :\pimp3:

Uh, I'm no Iberophile, but wouldn't that be "Muchas Gracias, Senor"? I'm just sayin'....

BOTH. I'd rather date a hip hop fan, though, if I were pushed in a corner.
I remember I took a bi-coastal flight a month or so ago, and this really sweet 13 year old girl told me she was celebrating her birthday by going to a Celine Dion concert in Las Vegas. I had to turn my head away so she wouldn't see my grimace. Oh well, she's young enough to change her mind. :)

That'll be one of those moments that she'll look back on and squirm.![]()
My aunt's a fan. Don't know how my uncle puts up with it without blowing up the sound system.
