Glastonbury for me, wouldn't miss it for the world. Once yer in yer in, none of this camping on the outside of the event.

Yeah ,deffo Glastonbury.Only been a couple of times- 94 and 95 but there's so much going on in a great part of the countryside.Nice bonfires too:D
reading is ok ish.V is a commercial hell and Wireless is only good if NO are playing .My Bro goes to that Glade fest.I think he saw System 7 there last year.
Liquid Connective /Little Green planet do some great illegal parties in woods in Sussex and Kent, too.

Done V and Glasters last year, my first and second festivals ever.
Glastonbury was better, but then it was much harder work. As someone said to me at the time - V and T and the rest are like a mad sprint to get off it, see bands and generally have fun. Glastonbury is a marathon.
Next year I will plan it a little better. I'd take a proper drink and other provisions for a start - those burger vans are no good after a few days. I'd definatley go for the full week again, but I wouldn't plan to leave on the Monday - that was shit. I wouldn't get my head burnt on the Sunday morning and I would not get so pissed that I missed the Scream (not that they will be invited back).
Oh, and I won't be spending quite so long at the cider bus next year - that stuff bends your mind!

No its not. Well, not at the moment. They are having seemingly massive difficulties with the council and the council aint budging. Which is a shame, as I was really looking forward to it.
And the best festival is Glastonbury. many a fond memory of the last two years. :)

Glastonbury of the North! Deeply Vale Festival 2006 on 280 acres of moorland and valleys just outside Rochdale.
so far tentatively committed to 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th of June 2006.
Croissant Neuf stage, Solar Powered stage from Glastonburys Greenfield site will be one of the smaller stages.
Here is a list of Artists and Media People who have shown firm commitment to the idea of a multi day festival with camping in the North West, hopefully most of these will be performing at the festival!
The list so far includes the following...

there was supposed to be an annoucement last friday, but there wasnt:
Apologies to all concerned. We were expecting to have everything signed, sealed and delivered today. However, negotiations did not go as planned. The local authorities have made a number of 'interesting suggestions', which we feel would compromise the feel and ethos of the event. We have decided to try and address those issues in the best way possible by coming to a compromise (if we can).
We hope you will bear with us. We are, after all, trying to create an event that will be a memorable, pleasurable experience. The new Deeply Vale festival is all about the punters (you guys) and we want to get the 'formula' as 'right' as possible. As it stands, we cannot hold the event we want to hold and so we need to find a way to deliver the event in a way that won't disappoint but will also satisfy the relevant authorities.
Please feel free to continue posting questions and we will endeavour to provide what information we can.

It was a horrible traveling show but last years weekend fest wasnt bad. Some good acts and a great location.
