Funny you should say that.....Cubase blew my M-Audio delta to atoms tonight....I rebooted, which brilliantly managed to FUCK the net shares on my lnux box.....so i had to reboot it too....and the cunt deleted IT'S sound system too. Both have been spoken to, linux with a simple command, losedos with a stick. They are now behaving.

Windows?....yes it is :D I did a "revert to saved", pressed play, there was an almighty crack and no more sound. And if ANYONE knows anything more deadly than umount -f /mnt/win* i'd love to hear it, cos it'd save me losing worthy weeks of uptime everytime windows decides to go boom (yes, I know XP is very stable as windows goes).

as for the loss of sound on the penguin box..... bolt on sound driver (ALSA) fell out with th system hardware detection daemon, solution, get the daemon to re-run after loading ALSA...no biggie, but i really am learning to fucjing hate ALSA in all honesty.....it's supposed to be like ASIO....but it's a pain in the ringpiece if you have a pathetic 1.99 soundcard (if I plugged my Delta into the linux box, it'd drive it a fuckin treat).

hey, I aint no msoft advocate...TECHNICALLY

but, it's pervasive computing at it's finest. Ease of use brings us all in. Without Gate's vision NOOL wouldnt happen.

It's like comparing Ford to Aston. Without Ford there would be not many roads in which to drive the Aston.

Maybe:confused2:

Still got the harware in the cellar, UNBEATABLE, driving game.

Mariokart SNES hasnt been topped.

Although after the debacle of N64 Mariokart I heard GameCube MarioKart is back to the best.
