Trent & Co. put on an awesome show tonight in Des Moines. Not a big NIN fan but he was playing in me city in our new taxpayer funded Event Center. My first visit to said forum. My second viewing of the band. Much improved over his Pretty Hate Machine tour and gig at 1st Ave many many years ago when Meat Beat manifesto opened and blew him off the fucking stage.

This time he had great sound, great visuals and no fooking around between tunes.

Fook the pair of you....I'm with Owens....NIN for The Ulster Hall. (the night before New Order :D )

I suppose the event centre being taxpayer funded means it can have a real name and not be called "the miller lite....." anything :D

They used bonds to pay for alot of it thus another reason not to lower my property taxes. But the city really needed it. I'd rather see my taken away $$ spent on cultural things, civic things and bike trails instead of enabling handouts. BUT my former and my Wifey's current bank funded just enough to get their name plastered on the building--Wells Fargo Arena at the Iowa Events Center.

I never minded my tax going on either the arts OR on handouts. For one thing, I've taken a few of said handouts, so it's only fair. And for another thing....for every pound the Uk spends on benefits..it spends 8-10 pounds covering the bad debts of foreign dictators who didn't pay their guns bill :D

(Of course having said that, there are those who take the piss...for instance my boss's parents....both on disability payments, both working, and running 2 expensive cars. They should of course be shot :D )
