Had the misfortune to arrive home yesterday with the TV surrounded by helpless youths watching this trash. As it drew to a close, I remembered that Paul Weller was receiving a lifetime achievement award or the like; oh, dear. George Michael's sister stylist had been at his hair. Not impressed with the set but he did finish off with Town called Malice. Weller the Modfather.
Quite original though, I mean singing new songs recorded as Paul Weller and then finishing with a track recorded whilst in The Jam. Wonder why other bands etc don't do that?:D
The Brits

The last Brits I watched was 96. I think that may have been the last 'good' year to watch it. We get it rebroadcast sometimes late at night* on the national station ABC.
* 3am, sometimes.
"The British music scene is the most vibrant and exciting its been for years" blah blah blah etc... zzzzzzzz
Funny how they trawl that exact same comment out every time the Brits are on ![]()
