I like about 3 songs that i know of. They're supposed to be amazing live though.

i thought they were the most profound and inspirational band on the planet when i was about TWELVE. now i enjoy them for their wacky and fun tunes. i'd see them live again--it's been 16 years since i last saw them.

I think I saw them when I was 17. I'm not a big fan of theirs, but I do like their song Blue Dress from the Violator CD. It's a weird song. It makes me think of trannies for some reason.

i remember back years ago, many of the club going girls, knowing nothing about house or much about music whatsoever, knew of one dance "band" ... and that of course was Depeche Mode. especially the chubby girls and the stupider ones liked Depeche Mode... at the time, i personally did not think that this was ringing endoursement for Depeche Mode, but many girls did claim to love Depeche Mode...

i guess Depeche Mode was the most accessible.
