I'd like to take this opportunity to wish our absent bete noir a very happy birthday indeed. May your piles cease giving you gyp for about 5 minutes.

That's nice, he's not allowed to post but his birthday still goes up here!

Is it really over three years since the lad last logged on?!

Times flies when you're, er, 'avin' fun!

Jack and others who don't know/forgot.

Julio is the legendary "Brazilian Postman" who claims not to have received parcels and causes all kinds of trouble badmouthing people and besmirching reputations, yet still manages to list the CDs he never received and manages to trade them on!

He got banned from posting here (he still visits nearly every day to read threads) for consistanly and constantly abusing fellow NOOLers, and for cheating in the first Community competition, when he sent in someone else's recording and claimed it as his own.

Has a neat line in abuse on WIM, where you will find him posting as Uncle Bernard, and also on JD Central, where he posts as JumoFi.

He's probably not all that bad in real life (and wasn't when I met him in the Worlds End before the Finsbury gig in 2002), but is far too overenthusiastic on here, and feels he has to invent stuff to compete (not that there is any need at all to compete).

Oh, and his copies of CDs are awful, as if done boombox to boombox rather than in-line :evil4:

i think what monkey boy is trying to say, but can't find the words, is that he's in love with him but he can't tell him. like when a boy pulls a girl's pigtail on the playground to show his affection. you know.

I think what monkey boy is saying but can find the words is that if Julio ever turns up in London again, or disses me in print or online, he will be MRM before he knows it.

Don't see why the lad can't post again. He's obviously got New Order at heart. Interesting considering that the next tranche of gigs they'll perform will be in his homeland too. I mean, he flew to Finsbree all the way from Brazil. How many Brits are gonna repay the compliment this year around?!

If he's really not been here for three years, then that's longer than you get for some heinous crimes in this country nowadays. I'm sorry, but cheating in Community ain't a major offence to me. It might've been harsh at the time, but that was a long, long time ago. And dissing and namecalling other onliners is just part and parcel of this forum these days, surely, and not exactly a sackable offence.

But that's just my opinion.

part and parcel

That was the root of the problem, the parcels we all had to send him twice.

However as Al said 3 years is a long time as long as you get for denying the holocoust !

If he sends me acopy of the Maracanazinho 88 gig, I will welcome him back :thumb:

I agree let him back in.

Maybe someone should start a free Julio thread?:thumb:

Which you're entitled to, but sometimes it goes deeper than simple name calling. I made a very innocuous comment about him once which was met with a volley abusive e-mails, really over the top stuff, to my work address...

After having to do some quick talking to stop myself being dismissed on the spot (I think I would have been had I been silly enough to reply), I then had to convince them not to get the police involved.

I won't be forgetting that in a hurry.

You weren't alone in getting this sort of shite, OB. Quite simply, if he comes back, I go.

Perhaps you should think twice then before starting a 'Happy Birthday Julio' thread?!

You being a moderator an' all as well.
