Having recently been in my local tesco, I took a good look for these here self service tills.

None were in evidence. I suppose Tesco felt that us boghopping terrorists couldn't be trusted not to nick 14 cases of harp, 3 dozen bottles of Smirnoff and a trolley load of alcopops for the wee'uns.

I mean, it's TRUE (especially considering Tesco is right besides the town's WORST spide breeding farm.) but damnit, I object :D

What about the Welsh and Scots....are they also denied this trust?

(anything I said about exam results and national IQ surveys putting England firmly as the dumbest of the home countries and therefor the one least likely to get their heads round complex things like barcode scanners....would of course be cruel, uncalled for...and purely for my own amusement) ;)

I must say I enjoy tesco enormously...apart from the above.

Oh and the fact that it's full of..... Annoying, greedy, rich fuckers....who should be in M+S instead of parking their trollies accross aisles in Tesco to keep the poor from getting to the "reduced" to clear shelves :D

Sorry Steve - we've plenty of the self-service tills here in Dubland - my local Tescos (Clearwater - open 24 hrs!) has a block of 4 of the small self-service tills (for your 10 item shoppers) and about 5 of the larger 'you can even have your own conveyer-belt' self service tills. So thats all right then!

Nah, its not so bad these days - nights are still a problem tho:D

Where I'm living is kinda between Finglas & Ballymun - obviously I'm from the 'posh bit':D

Best way to describe those areas these days - think 'building sites & people who ride horses bareback. . . in the city . . . to collect their dole. You know the bit in the Committments - where they're trying to get a horse into the towerblock lift - that's ballymun. Ah yes, home:thumb:

No really, there IS a Ballymun horseowners association - they're very progressive
