Why I LOVE windows

Ahhhh, I have ardour (protools, only free and not full of shit like the windows version) and audacity and all those.

BUT...the fact is...I have been using Cubase since 1992, I'm too dyed in the wool to change...I lose the plot using any other audio app in windows too. So basically...until steinberg change the half dozen lines of code needed to convert from Free-BSD ( which is OSx) and Linux, I'm boned :D

I'm a protools user myself. I have the mbox. Best thing to use with my laptop and at home. I find it works better with video programs such as Final Cut and Avid. I've used cubase in the past but wasn't impressed. Maybe I should try it again.

Not if you primarily do AV work, yer probably better wth what you have....tho Cubase's twin, Nuendo may be worth looking at.

Protools on a Mac works....protools in windows, pretty much spends all day telling you your OS is ballix and to buy a mac :D

then agin, I never ran it with a DG-01 or whatever Digidesign call it now.

I would be more or less interested in the effects plug ins for Cubase. Just curious to see what else is out there.

Most plugins come with an Rtas option for PT these days. I assume there must be some other non proprietry system on macs like directX plugs for Dos-XP.

im a music fan, not a geek im certainly not a , as you put it - cuntface brave words indeed if windows and linux and fucking machine code are your thing - great but i have the right to voice my opinion without getting called such things, and my noble looks have never been compared to a cunt, when you see a cunt you may realise your folly take it easy big man
