Makes you wonder how long this sort of thing can go on for. I've said this here before, but I'm reminded of Dennis Hopper's dying speech in "True Romance". All a bit too close to home for some of these cnuts.
We'd be playing games behind closed doors in this country if that sort of thing ever happened here.

And as for a Barca playing make a stand too - I remember Barca vs Real a couple of season back and every time Roberto Carlos went to take a corner kick you had grown men bouncing around just beyond the corner flag doing monkey impressions. Truly embarrassing and sickening in this day and age.

As I believe I said a while ago when i eroneously ascribed such behaviour to Engerland-types.... the guy should just set the ball down and fuck off, or kick it out of play or anything to piss on their chips.
I suppose their single braincell is too busy making monkey noises to work out that their target might just win the game for them. "no please, disallow that goal ref!" I think not.
I often wonder about attitudes in motorsport....how many black racing drivers can you think of?
This is not shocking, its been happening quite often lately. if its spain today its Italy next weekend. they fine the teams but what else can they do? its the fans, and the sad thing is its a BIG majority of fans in the stadium not just a rowdy section of it.
how much more can the players take? especially a top quality player like Eto'o who is going to have success thus always being a target for this
I watched it and was also appalled. He was actually stood next to a Zaragoza defender, who was also black, when the insults were thrown. He held the defenders arm up to the crowd and made a mention of him being the same colour as him. They need to be either heavily fined or have points deducted plus made to play behind closed doors and suffer the loss of revenue. Clubs just aren't punished enough! Look what happened to Luis Aragones when he slurred Thierry Henry, a 3000 euro fine! Imagine what punishment Sven would face if he called someone "that black shit".

Deducting points and playing matches behind closed doors would be more effective than fining clubs
i finally saw the highlights(or lowlights) of this on the sports report and Ronaldihno said that if Eto'o left the pitch that the entire Barca squad would have followed, maybe that what they should do, maybe that would make the heads of the leagues take notice and actually do something to stop this kind of thing

One of the reasons I don't go to matches or follow football, along with a lot of other people I suspect, is because I don't want to pay to hear this kind of crap!
Football needs to punish players and fans far more severely.

It's not an issue with football, as such. You can't just blame football for this. This is an endemic issue in the countries concerned. Spain and Italy, in particular, have terrible track records on this issue. Unbelievable really, in this day and age.
