Actually the Ferrari years made me stop watching it.

It was getting boring to always have the same cars winning... especially with their sportsmanship of letting only 1 driver go for the win.

Maybe I'll try again this year, see if BMW/Sauber can do something at all.. it would be nice to see Jacques in a good car for once...

I tolerated it until A1 ring 2002...then i ripped down and burned all my red shit, sick to the pit of my guts.

Last year was a real breath of air....sitting down to watch and NOT KNOWING who was gonna win.

The years when Ferrari ruled were my favourite ever. It was fantastic to see a team come together and dominate so completely. It was particularly sweet as the team they replaced as the permanently-winning force were a bunch of pricks who clearly thought that it was against the rules for them to be beaten. Fucking Maclaren are a bunch of shites. Dennis is, quite simply, a winging bastard and Coultard is a smug-beast from a factory smug farm, despite not actually being very good (Coulthard manages to keep this a secret from his fans by employing Martin Brundle as his manager). Maclaren had the chance to improve a little when Mika left, but they replaced him with a clone. He still turns up anyway, spoiling it for everyone by being a boring fuck.

Ferrari, on the other hand, are ace. Thier history as a racing team is impeccable and the way they raised their game a few years ago was amazing to witness. I was fortunate enough to be single at this time, so managed to watch many of the races with beer in my hand.

The chaos caused by the rule changes, which were blatantly designed to prevent the best team from winning, and the arrival of my son, MichaelRubensEddieInoil, has limited my exposure to the Sunday Papers and highlights, if I'm lucky. The few races I have seen lead me to suspect that it's gone shit anyway.

Wish they had won more with Berger and Alesi though. Remember at Monza in their last year at Ferrari, they were 1-2 when Alesis camera fell off and smashed Bergers suspension, then Alesi retired a few laps later. Gutted, although on the bright side it gave Johnny Herbert the win!

LOL spot the schufoso....stopped watching when fuckface stopped winning....just like my sister....never missed a race til last year...then stopped watching...while the rest of us were enjoying a thing called racing.

Eddie shoulda done it in 99 after he put the cheating cunt in the Stowe tyre barrier.

Ferrari got great by sacking ALL the Italians LOL

And as for rule changes...I wasn't aware they were only for Ferrari...I thought all the teams had to compete under the same ones......nowt wrong with their car or their driver ( cos as we know they have one driver and his GIMP....34 failures Vs 1 or something...no nothing going on there, no sir)....Bridgestone suck, end of story.....and you know what...I think that's fucking hilarious after them getting the rules rewritten from.....

"tyres must be less the 270mm when new" to "MICHELIN tyres must be 270mm when USED"

3 days before monza...no cheating there,,nope.

And I used to cheer for Micahel too, he's a fabulous driver....but when he can't beat his team mate without orders or a msytery "failure", wont overtake on track, preferring Ross and TOAD to sort it out for him, and basically had everything manipulated to suit him....I thought."fuck him".....even the Germans have stopped going and the Italians BOO him.

And yes, ron's a whingin fucker, Frank is Davros/mr burns and Flavio's the fucking Godfather. Bring back EJ and Pete Sauber and Stoddy the Gobby Ozzie.

Look on the bright side though, Berger is a team owner now. And Aguri Suzukis cars will be good for a laugh

I remember Amati, just. As the write-up says, she was dumped to make way for Damon Hill..

No mention of Susan Kavanagh either who ran an EJ192 privately for a LONG time.

True at least Gerry B is still a total madman (LOL...the Senna's briefcase tale will go to my grave with me). And yes, it's nice of the Japanese to appreciate we like good laugh....although for a while I thought Sato might not turn into a running joke.....WRONG.

Mika Hakinen and Michael Shumacher go to a brothel.

Mika asks the madam "how much for a little wank?" "Forty quid", the boiler answers. Schumacher steps forwards "how much for a real World Champion then?"

:thumb:

The turning point in the sport for most people was when Coulthard stupidly forced Schumacher to run up the back of him in the rain and they fell out in the pits. Thus Coulthard made an enemy of him and, owing to his manager's connections in the television world, the coverage became even more biased than before. So Maclaren observe team orders, it's 'showing responsibility towards their sponsors'. Ferrari do it, they're threatening to bring down the civilised world.

It's bollocks, but it gives people who can't think for themselves something to whitter on about.

.edit: Mika and Michael- lol.. the tyre-rule changes were important though after shreading for no aparent reason. EJ192-for Indy 500- Danica Patrick was, think, only the fourth lady to ever race it. fast.

Close, but no cigar..... I am FULLY aware who caused spa98....it's not rocket science....either the red car was 75mph quicker out of the corners, or Dog's (short for Dog's Cock, DC...we're an empassioned F1 watching lot), stuck his foot on the anchor. Actually he admitted it as soon as heleft McRon and his mind-chip was removed (I mean, who's that amusing and talented bloke at red bull?), and aplogised to Michael as he fuckin well should have 7 1/2 years ago.

I'm also aware that Ferrari's "golden boy status" is at least as much because of people like me pointing out little onconsistencies like .....

MS sets a fastest lap, with a non-fastest sector through waved yellows and get's sent to the back for being naughty....meanwhile Mika sails through waved yellow at the fucking SWIMMING POOL complex....and LIFTS HIS HAND to acknowlege the flag, clocks 3 bells on the lap and it's left to stand.

Still Say Irv would have suited being a Red wearing champ better...gobby cunt that he is :D

Dig James Hunt and Lord Hesketh up and let's ROCK!

PS...as for team orders, McRon only assign them when it's nearing crunch time, not at every race with a 2nd driver contracted to move over for someone apparently better than him. And Williams don't bother generally. And where were their orders at Suzuka 99? he only had to hand back a few points Irv gave him earlier I have no problem with Orders when it's up against the wall time......never minded Our Ed gettin it up the bum all the times near season's end...but seriously...turning the guy's (rubino) car off at his home race, when it's like the 3rd of the year is just sly....and any..."it's not done from the pits" arguments...instantly lead to the question of Ferrari running 2 non identical cars, passed off as such.

I find the rule changes frustrating, especially as I found the old format so satisfying. I honestly think that, under pressure from cretain teams, the new rules are designed to introduce a random element into qualifying. Whether this is intended to influence the final standings, which is crap, or to encourage overtaking through the race, which is just plain dangerous, is irrelevant. The object of sporting rules is to ensure a clean contest where the best team wins. The FIA are ignoring this.

It's still the best sport on the telly though, I would happily watch each race in full. My circumstances simply do not allow this. So it's not sour grapes 'my team's not winning' because I don't really have a team. All I was saying was that I don't see the problem with a team doing well by working harder and being cleverer.

the new rules suck balls actually...qually is a bag of stale piss now. Like the mad idea they have for this year tho, could be the best of both worlds.

Think you'll find Dog's cock kicked that off too (although he blames Eddie :D:D:D:D:D:D)..>Rosset just ploughed into the back of it with his foot down hard like nothing was going on LOL.

Ralf is made of all the bits they threw away when they made Michael.....he's a ballsack....did you see his tantrum in the pitlane in China?....cunt deserved banned for life (or at least meant to run 1000 laps of Indy on Michelins)

So you dont like the Kryten from Red Dwarf jawed perrenial loser personality-less Scot then??

In this weeks Autosport there is a feature on Ralf and how he might just acheive something with Toyota.

He has had good races, but the consistency is non existant. Only good season i can recall was when he was with Zanardi at Williams.

Didnt catch the China business, would hazard a guess he kicked off about something silly?

Hey, not all the racing that takes place here are by tube framed tin toppers (and, they actually turn left, right, shift and use the brakes at the two road races they have scheduled). :D

Yeah be nice to see a yank involved again. Last one who was any good was Phil Hill :D

Might go some way to repairing the damage caused by F1's disgraceful appearance (or rather not) at indy last year.

Yeah I know nazzers do watkins and sear's point (infineon)...have a corkin video of one trying to take T1 at watkins....scary sight.

For all my ranting, I pretty much suport all 20 of them (well 19, ralf's a tard) :D

This year I'm a McRon man, but only cos they have JPM who I been nuts about for 7 1/2 years now :D

So, is Scott Speed his real name? Bit 1950s boys adventure comic! From what i`ve heard he is a bit media unfriendly

As in "kimi the comatose superpilot" Or as in "eddie the gobshite bastard"?

One thing I must dredge up from Earlier.... Biggie, please don;t be unfair about Martin Brundle and DC, Brundle is usually the very FIRST to call him a twat, and if I recall correctly he stayed VERY quiet about spa98 rather than openly have to lie or admit his driver was a tosspot.

Anyway, I like "New DC"
