Gimme Shelter

Just watched this in Film today, and I got to say...wow

And I'm glad that NO have never had a show go quite as badly as Altamont

Never been a big Stones fan, and I doubt this movie will change that. But you do have to feel bad for Jagger when he's rewatching the scene of Meredith Hunter getting stabbed (which I didn't even know had been captured on film). And the playback of "Wild Horses" is a nice moment in an otherwise chaotic film.

It ain't pretty, and it's kinda depressing at the end. But it's not too bad (and a lot better compared to last week's screening...Singin' In The Rain)

Been a long time since I've seen Shelter, is Gram Parsons in the film, cause I think he played earlier in the day?

Yeah, he and the Flying Burrito Brothers do "Six Days on The Road" (I think), and Chris Hillman looks disgusted with the whole situation. Either that, or stoned :p

Is it wrong to laugh when Marty Balin gets his ass kicked? Because that is kinda funny, considering what a schlocky songwriter he is

my friend was a huge stones fan, made me watch this, it is an interesting film but the only thing that i got from it is that Gime Shelter is the best stones song
