Omar Puso unleashes an absolute stunner of a left-footed volley from fully 30 yards to stun the home crowd and give the South Americans the lead.

Beckhams hairstyle should keep us in it :thumb:

Don't let Rocket Mick hear you say that !

Twas actually a right foot volley Mike. Some goal though. Scotland 2-0 down at HT to the Swiss. :nonono: Ireland 2-0 up against Sweden. See the Germans are in disarray, getting humped 3-0 by the Italians. Bet they're still there or thereabouts when the serious stuff gets underway in June.

Anyone playing spot the shit flag?

I'll start with Port Vale. Bless 'em, they've got on the telly.

And is anyone who vote Motty as a top3 commentator hanging their head in shame? The guy is a numpty.

"Is it the pace of the game or are vicious tackles becoming more common?" Well John, that doesnt really make sense but I've learned your noddy language after all these years so get what you are trying to say. But this is an International Friendly, where the pace is notoriously slow. Fool.

Ferdinand isn't having the best game.

Can't understand why he's still on the park, in fact.

That volley was something else.

Celtic's Bosman summer signing Kenny Miller just pulled a goal back. Come on Scotland.

Not much of an England fan mate, well not until a tournament.

Last England game I went to me & a mate were sat in the Stretford End shouting for Denmark. All we could do for fun.

Plus, the FA make FIFA look like Oxfam...fleecing buggers.

He did alright then. Used his height to not in a beauty. Cole layed it on well - having a good game is Coley.

Gary Neville tryied to tongue-kiss Crouch after his goal. Erikson should have a word about that before the tournament.

Unlike the mighty Brazil who, er, failed to beat Uruguay in either of their qualifying games for this year's World Cup!

No doubt England have the players to win it. And it seems with the last couple of results they now have the resolve to turn a game round in the dying minutes...so who knows?

There arent really any teams in world football that stand out so its up for grabs, but German home advantage will probably sway things for them, and they appear to have a better team than last time.

Er, you missed the German result from last night then?!

This report ain't kind either - Italy vs Germany

I never let facts get in the way of a rant

I was just meaning that Germany got to the final last time on the back of a poor year, this time they have home advantage.

Being a kid in the 70's 80's make you fearful of German football, they go into robot mode and seem to find extra strength :\ohwell:

The last good german team was when Voeller, Brehme and Klinsmann still played. After Beckenbauer quit coaching the only way was down. There was big luck at the last WM. Normally they shouldn't have gotten through the first round (and I'm convinced that they won't do that at this WM)...

I don't like the german team anymore. I'm a supporter of the danish team for many many years now (back to the time Morten Olsen still played, and even before they got European Champ). Unfortunately Denmark didn't qualify... So go Trinidad & Tobago...
