May I take the opportunity to wish all the English clubs good luck in the Champions League, as much as dislike Arsenal and Chelsea normally... Let the game of football be the winner (or something)...

ESPN2 in it's infinite wisdom decided to show that world baseball shit that no one cares about (seriously, not even baseball fans) instead.

They are on crack.

I think I might take wednesday afternoon off to hang with the scousers down the pub.

Was watching Liverpool's match on Saturday against Charlton and to be honest I don't see where Liverpool are going to get the goals from to beat Benfica. Once again we'll probably have to rely on Stevie G to come up with the goods.

has anyone noticed that Man Yoo have been nicking the tunes to our songs again. One of them in the Wigan game last night was the "Five times" tune that WE started, and there was some other one that WE invented first.

Sloop John B - Popularised by The Beach Boys

You lot appear to have been singing 'we won it 2 times without killing anyone, we won it 2 times' and 'You killed your own fans, at Hillsborough you killed your own fans'. Which was aired at Anfield during the FA cup game.

oh right, not a song I would sing mind..

but the tune has been used for years at O/T. One for city & more recently one for Ronaldo.

He plays on the left he plays on the right that boy Ronaldo makes Beckham look shite

we paid for your house we paid for your house what a waste of council tax we paid for your house

So Johnny boy....were does that leave your original point? :evil4:

1975 final, we were cheated out of it. Ref was bribed, it was proved later. We had a lay-off goal by Lorimer disallowed for offside (i think it was offside) even though there was a wall etc and half the Bayern team in their box. :nonono:

Well since we got to the final and basically nearly beat them even with a biased ref, we deserved to be the champs of europe. But nothing happened when the bribing was proved.

Oooooh : lifts handbag closely to chest:

Leeds fans have sung 'Champions of Europe' since 1975 and are still doing it! It is sung in exactly the same way as Liverpool fans have started only this year except it goes on a damn sight longer. We must have bored half the football league with a rendition at some point over the last thirty years. John Peel spoke at length about it on on of his shows about 1980 when he said it was the first time he'd heard the Kop hushed by another team 'cause the Leeds fans went on singing it for fifteen minutes despite Liverpool actually holding the title.

You pass comment about other teams nicking 'your songs' yet throw a strop when it is pointed out that Liverpool fans have done just that. :confused2:

And yes, 1975, we wuz robbed.

The Mancs have stolen their fair share of our songs an all. You are my Solskjaer? Blasphemous. We Shall Not Be Moved has trickled it's way round English grounds in recent times as well as Forever and Ever we'll follow [insert team / nickname] All the teams who suffer the inferiority complex have copied the Huns mimick of I am Sailing. i wish they'd hung on to win, coz i can see Juve being very hard to beat now.

Tim caught the ball in the area and went down to the ground with it. looked safe and normal. then the ball came loose and dribbled to the Juve player nearby, who turned his leg round and poked it in. Bad error by the goalie. very weird.

Hmm. How did Liverpool qualify for this year's tournament. Everton were endorsed for the official fourth place above the current holders. Man Utd won't be the only other team reminding you of this soon...

I'm not bothered - Micoud scored my fantasy league goal.
