Gilmours new album got some negative reviews.basically saying he's too wrapped up in cotton wool to make anything of consequence these days

I would agree with that. The last two Floyd albums were remakes of Dark Side... basically.

Gilmour's album has been 'album of the week' on Radio 2 this week; sorry to say, but they do sound pretty much all the same - hypnotic! Quite like it!
