They're just quality. their album was well better than editors one, just a ten times better band, editors are good but bloc are just so much better

Faihless, Morrissey, Radiohead and Editors are the only definites for me. Probably Beck as well though.
What was it Barney said about Bloc Party? Something along the lines of they make "my budgie's just died" music Can't say I have much time for them either. I bought the So Here We Are CD single wanting to give them a fair go and in the end I felt like asking for my three quid back. The vocalist is terrible and the guitarist cultivates a 'teenage pin-up' status doesn't he? Bizarre.
On the other hand, Editors are a fantastic band. The back room hasn't been off my iPod for the past 2 months and I'm going to make an effort to see them live.

See him live then tell me he can sing....he's got no strength and there's too much Essex lad in there. For my liking that is...I have a different opinion to you obviously.
I've seen them live 3 times and come away thinking "WOW"
they were awesome, and Kele was sounding good, the guy's great. they really are an awesome band respect to bloc party

i love neil young and hes one of my favourite artists ever, but im not starting one simply due to the fact that without a doubt the same old people will come on and just put stuff like "shite" (see further up this thread for example) and to be honest i cant be arsed listenin to all the people who dont like it

So Jack, you're basically not prepared to discuss any more of your favourite bands for fear of other people disagreeing with you? 
Surely if you like the band you're talking about then that's all that should really matter (to you). Other people thinking they're shite shouldn't even dent the surface. It's safe to say nobody has the supreme authority on which bands are the best and which ones aren't; it's all a matter of personal taste.
I'm just saying this because I think some people should learn to be a bit more thick skinned. If we all agreed on bands 100% of the time the forum would be dull as f*ck. I've posted threads on bands I like and if I took every single "shite" comment to heart I'd be (even more of) a basket case by now!
