Thanx for including #4 Burt. So far, that's the only song I know that rips BM off.

Frontline Assembly had a totally forgettable industrial ripoff of Blue Monday, but i don't remember what it was called for some reason except that Frontline Assembly sucked

Not a big fan. Didnt have the album etc. I was pretty sure it was what I said. Any big Divine fans out there?.. I hope not.

At the same time, "Blue Monday" was so successful as a dance record that it received the ultimate accolade: a tribute from one of their inspirations, producer Bobby Orlando (who, as Bobby O, was also the first to record The Pet Shop Boys). His production of "Love Reaction" for Divine, a straight "Blue Monday" rip-off, was one of the records that created the High Energy style which, in the hands of Stock/Aitken/Waterman, has dominated English pop ever since. New Order were there first.

Just had a listen to an mp3. It's probably the closest rip off of all.

Also, the PSBs nicked some of the BM drum patterns for "Can't Take My Eyes Off You / Streets Have No Name". Can recall Hooky reviewing it for NME/MM and having a laugh.

On an album I have with Can't gtet Blue Monday out of my head - it credits B. Sumner for the track, along with a few others. Why only him? Did he help remis thsi or something?
