how big is the city/town in which you live?

orlando: medium-sized city. approximately 1.5 million residents in the metropolitan area.

canberra about 300 000. 380 000 if you count the surrounding towns.

sydney getting towards 5 million population is only three hours by car away.

Chicago The city has 3 million but with the surrounding areas 8.5 million.

my dad's from philly. i'd say the metro area incudes the suburbs in PA and the camden area of NJ.

Yeah... I wasn't even thinking of south jersey because for census purposes the philly metro is the pa suburbs. I grabbed it from the census figures i was working with at work. but really south jersey and northern de would be as well.
