And the 9v battery thing is surely nonsense.....I do that all the time....still here...grabbed the power relay on a valve amp one and took a few KV through the arm...still here :D

I suspect this may be one of the very few genuine reasons to equate "brit" and English. I doubt any Scot, Welshman or psuedoboghopper would each a Xmas decoration.
