Just wondering here between a medium and large and always get stuck with the wrong one! What is the consensus of the forum? Do these come up large? With the greatest respect to our American cousins, t-shirts in the US tend to come up large. Thanks in advance

they do end up being pretty large. i can swim in the large i bought last time around and i'm 5'9 and not kate moss but not dawn french, either, if that answers your question.
Simon, having met you in person, I would advise strongly against getting large - you'll drown in it!

I heard from most people the sizes were 1 size above what is available in Europe... so XL here is XXL over there.
Which scares me a lot I must say, since I do take more than that!
I'll remember to avoid shirt shops when I'll travel in Europe ;)
Indeed, the sizings are all wrong. I'm sitting here in a 'large' t-shirt bought in San Diego in Jan (which is too big) because it was the smallest size the shop had - there were four bigger sizes!! Something about printing X's?! ;)
