read a bunch of stuff about them a few years ago. An example..... if you open an AOL chatroom trading pirate software it will invariably be closed in no time, yet channels trading all manner of kiddie filth remain open. When question AOL invariably claim they have insufficient channel mods. Hmmmmm

lots of other things too.

Also....anyone here ever try cancelling AOL.....after giving them your credit card number to get a FREE trial?

I know friends who thought that they were getting 1000 free minutes from an AOL CD. They used it right away without thinking about the consequences. Sure the minutes are free, but with the long-distance access numbers from dial-up, their phone bill totaled over $700. I vowed never to use AOL products, except for AIM.
