On telly they said Lehmann will be Germany's first goalie for the world-cup.
What do you think: is he really better than Kahn?
I'm really interested in hearing what others may say about it as I fear that over here in Krautland a bloody civil-war is shortly to break out on this issue... :D

Doubt many people over here are big followers of the German game (it's not as popular as, say, the Spanish or Italian leagues) but all reports on these shores suggest Kahn's been playing when not fully fit and his form has suffered as a result, whereas it's fcuking obvious to absolutely anyone what a pillar of strength Lehmann's been for the Arse in recent games. 7 consecutive clean sheets with an improvised defence in front of him says it all.
No matter. Germany will do SFA in the World Cup. 
Personally I'd choose Oliver Kahn instead of Jens Lehmann for the World Cup and then go with someone younger like Timo Hildebrand.

Don't think the Germans are either. This Kahn/Lehmann thing has been a long time coming and the Bayern coach even blamed Klinsmann for their dip in form as they felt they had to play a crocked Kahn cos the goalie situation wasn't resolved yet.
Doesn't he still live in the US too and just flies in for games?! Nice job if you can get it!
but you dont want your keeper to be "Fun to Watch." You want your keeper to be as inconspicuous as is humanly possible. That way, theres less chance of conceding goals.
Its not the team that scores the most that wins, its the team that concedes the least.

I believe so and he was due to fly back home after the gubbing by Italy but the DFB ordered him to stay in Germany.
He sacked their goalkeeping coach, Sepp Maier because he favoured Kahn and like Kahn he played for Bayern Munich so it was P45 time and auf wiedersehen!
You can't keep rotating goalkeepers, it's a specialist position, it won't help either of them with their confidence, let alone the defenders...

Klos has played how many games this season for Rangers who now have a squad which is surely one of their worst in living memory?!
Glasgow Rangers had some fine netminders in their time. Andy Dibble, Theo Snelders & Ally Maxwell

do i really give a monkeys toss. don't talk to me about german goalkeepers. Lehman if anyone and if i really cared cause he's more chance of seeing red. gobshite that he is....

I know, he was injured for a very long time and never really made it back to the first team. But I don't talk about the actual season exclusively. After he had left Dortmund german national coaches - blind as they were - didn't focus on him although he once played a great role at Rangers.
