I had to google these. Wouldn't have got any of them right.
Three different clubs in the top flight though, if I'm being a pedant. There might be players who've achieved this in other leagues, I guess?
Doesn't matter, still wouldn't have got the three you're after.
Bloody hell Al,you never even give it some thought:\ohwell:Thanks for not revealing your findings tho. I got 2 from the three, whilst googleless in the pub last night, stumped on the third for ages mind..Any non-googled guesses?
While I do not have the mildest baldy notion as to the answer....the question caught my eye.
What is the "modern era"? Since balls stopped being stiched with leather tapes? Since Goal nets were introduced? Since it was a 2000-a-side intertown riot?
I mean in F1, the modern era is probably post 01/05/94, but I doubt it's defined to tightly in footie.
Sorry...to simplify..in the last 20 years in the top flight.Clue: 2 of them still play in the premiership now. and the third one has a cousin playing for Man United who looks like a giraffe.Ok,sorted.![]()
I was able to find the answer after a quick Google search too.
I think you should rename your question to "Who are the three strikers to score Premiership hat-tricks with three different clubs?".

Six.. and two threes, but ok have it your way..
Or I could rename it Google cheat-tricks and have done ![]()
This is a weird one. I think John's right, but you wouldn't automatically think of Campbell being a hat-trick scorer, and it's easy to forget Sheringham's Pompey spell!

Alan Shearer has scored a hat trick for 3 Premier League clubs,
Southampton(youngest player ever to acheive it),Blackburn and The Toon.![]()
Have to check the Southampton stat..Ofcourse he's everyone's first guess, like mine was.But I was told he never bagged a hat-trick at Southhampton.Have no fear,it'll all come out in the wash..I was pretty sure Stan Collymore was in this illustrious group, but that was three seperate laybys as it transpired. ![]()

Aye but Shearer's hat-trick for the Saints was in the old Division 1.
I thought we were talking Premiership hat-tricks. ![]()

You're right, uncle John. If we're talking about Premiership hat-tricks the third player is Andy Cole (Newcastle, Man Yoo and Blackburn).
