What?!?
You mean to suggest that you actually read the manual?
these things have a manual? you now can get the internet on computers? what a strange world we live in.
Am I the only person who gets copies of windows that come with a cd, and a 5 page "manual" with the license key on the front, that covers everything from why windows is great, to puting the CD in the drawer

i never read them. i only use the licence key, which is printed on the cd cover.

No, thats there to confuse you so you think you have to pay someone to fix it. You just fiddle around till it works again (Yes, still talking computers here).
Emma, what's with your smiley? Apparently, you guys are surprising me with the fact that you don't consult the manual, or tech support. If you do it long enough, you can memorize keyboard codes/shortcuts so that you can DIY.

Wish I could kill Window-shite
killall -9 gates
Actually I fucking LOVE Xkill and would DIE to have it in LoseDos.
for those ignorant of real computers, Xkill turns your mouse pointer into the touch of death for the next process you click.
HmmmmmmmmXkilll (drool homer stylee)

Re-read it with the quote and think about it.

actually, the smiley deals with my quoting of your previous post...it could be construed as a double entendre...right, Comrade? Where the blast is he? :\ohwell:

we's only kidding Cozzie......but males rarely go NEAR manuals.
I've never read the manual for Cubase ( I read A manual for it on the atari in 1992), except to find out the odd bit of very obscure info, or to....as you said....learn key commands.....mice are SO inefficient.
This has nothing to do with innuendo, I'm talking about computers!!! Is this the quote you're talking about, the one I just typed in? Why am I using slang, thinking that I have mastered English after living in the States for most of my life?

Now, Chris, that's not me.

He has a point Cozzie...
If what Steve says is true about guys not reading their manuals, I'm in a state of utter disbelief. BTW, "play" in my quote means to joke in U.S. English. I don't know what you Brits call it. ![]()

you should only RTFM after swearing, ripping your hair out and biting off a fingertip trying to sort it yourself.
YOu forgot - throwing the offending piece of crap against the wall ina fit of rage, droping remenants into skip, retrieving from skip later that day, more rage when its irreparable, finally investing in the newer model at ENORMOUS cost, therapy, and THEN POSSIBLY RTFM
![]()
No I do NOT have rage issues:D
BTW, funny you should mention Bicycle repair men & computers . . . friend of mine - also called Steve, funnilly enough (also he owned a house in Bangor for a couple of years!) emigrated to Deutschland about 18 years ago & soon became a BYCYCLE REPAIR MAN - for, like 14 years, or something. Never used computers, never wanted to, until a few years ago, he decided that was where the money was - bulshitted himself into a well paid project managers job in a web design co for a year or so. Now him & the wife run their own rediculously sucessfull 'digital design' co, iomas media. Just thought you should know
I dunno...I'd be getting kinda unhinged after some of the shit ppl say to her.
(come to think of it I AM becoming rather unhinged after some things that have been said to me on here recently)

okay, one more time...
re-read your prior post that I quoted.
and there are other meanings of the word "play" in the U.S. English vocabulary...

Yeah Cozzie, we know what you mean. Basically, we are implying that you mean something else. I.e, its a double entendre. British humour i guess ![]()

FFS cozzie it means that here too but it also means other things like "playing with yourself" (google it, cos I'm sure you;ve never done it ;) )....Emma was KIDDING.
fuck me, these ones have really left you at red alert perpetually.
I think we need a be nice to cozzie day guys.

French surely twatto?
and American as well...
Yeah, years ago a lot of products (e.g. Windows, DOS, Office, Borland C++, etc) used to come with LOADS of manuals - so many that you'd need to take up weightlifting to try and pick the damn things up... :)
With the advent of CD's, these books were then put onto CD and you "used" to be able to then send off for the printed versions from the manufacturer...
Then they couldn't be bothered, and decided that a neat way of making more money was to publish the manuals as books that you could buy in the shops...
And, thus, another excuse for making money was born... :)
