I just hope I don't keep blubbing like I did all the way through "Rose".
No shit when I heard the old type 40 fire up and take off, and thought of all the wee'uns who were hearing it for the first time, I bawled....in front of my BROTHER too, the worst male no no. There was a simmillar thing going on during "Dalek" as well when all the writers attempts to make Daelks touchy feely gay things were blown away by the Dalek itself (I mean really, it basically said...I'd rather die than be Hugh the Borg")...there are some characters too big to re-write. Leanne is no believer in the Dr, but the guys in work badgered her for 2 weeks that the next time she called to see me, she had to watch that episode....she did, and few things in life have given me greater pleasure than watching a non-whovian, naturally, and involuntarily recoil from the Dalek :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I want to cry (i'm a incurable saddo) everytime the theme tune comes on, especially when the 6 year old is gawping wide eyed at the swirly time vortex thingy...
P.S. 'Genesis of the Daleks' is also out on DVD...

not looking, don't want it spoiled....I avoided all the hype and leaks before Rose and was glad I did.
Can't WAIT for someone to call the cyberbastards a borg rip off. It appears the "big finish" story they are re-working is "the harvest" rather than "spare parts" which I had been led to believe it was. That's a shame cos Spare Parts takes place on Mondas as the Cyberization process is being introduced.....it does for the cybermen what Genesis did for the Daleks.....it also had oldschol cybermen who talk in werid random pitches like those in 10th planet.

Me too.
2 things btw...
I already have Genesis downloaded as a tv rip, and cannot imagine a dvd of something made in 1974 will look any better than a tv rip.
but....it's worth buying just for the furst sweet words of the new infant MK III travel machine.....
"ALIENS!!!!! I MUST EXERMINATE EXTERMINATE EXTERMIIIINAAAATE"
Aw diddums :D
and I find the grphic in your post offensive....as offensive as I found the Dr charging into the control room with a gun in Bad Wolf.....do what he did...throw it away, nasty things :D
For me, the biggest mistake of series 1 was that 'BAD WOLF' was the weirdy soul thing of the tardis rather than a RESURRECTED DAVROS!
I hope they don't cause similar dissapointment with the Cyberones!

Worry not... the avatar isn't long for this world...
:D
Not the avatar, the wee thing in the post with a gun.
I didn't mind the TARDIS inerds thing, it's always been spoken of, although I'm not so sure about it living inside the console. There's a corker in one of the audio plays about Frobisher (a large talking Penguin who pals around with Colin Baker) gets the TARDIS to create a fish for him to hunt in the swimmingpool. But it gets really sulky cos te fish is being tortured and well....goes off in a huff basically.
One thing I liked, that few people noticed is that the tow truck hook came off the console, and the console opened on it's own. The "old girl" obviously felt Rose's pain.
Ahhhh Sarah Jane will appear....a real asistant not just T+A and yap yap yap yap.
