As for comparing Cambo meeting Missy Jem tonight to everyone else congregating on Liverpool, well, that comments beggars belief. That's perhaps the difference between folk who inhabit this forum, and those that go elsewhere as a port of call. One wonders how many of you are buying Liverpool tickets this morning? Very few, one should imagine.

Did a good deal of people meet at the new order disco? She asks knowing the answer. I mean.. it's as close as one can get to going to a gig when there isn't one going on. (right this second)

I think it's silly to say that only people who can dish out 35 quid for a gig are part of the community. (Mind you I am dishing out 100 for the tickets and then 400 for the flight, am I super community then??)

I would've said Re-order (or Digital, if they pull their finger out) would be closer than New Order Disco. In fact, the lads running New Order Disco haven't mentioned a Community once either, it just gets mentioned here. But then, the likes of me, Don, Ness, JG, Midnight Blue and Mike all had a beer last week, then ran into Re-order's drummer Warren at a Client gig, without bleeting on that we're some sort of Community cos we've got half-a-dozen faces out. We're just mates, not a Community. It's obvious to people who know me from gigs: I talk to the people I know first and foremost and make time for them. Just cos I recognise a lot of people's names from here does not automatically make them my mate or something. That would be nonsense.

I don't think I've mentioned finances. But actually meeting people face-to-face is surely a more realistic way of creating a Community (there, that ridiculous word again) than simply being part of some MSN feeding frenzy? It's the people who don't get off their arses and join in who talk more about Community than anyone here who genuinely forms one.

And 500 notes on a flight and ticket still leaves you as a rank amateur in some people's book! :evil4:

She will think you mean her eyes, or the posters on her wall or something.
