Have anyone Chicago based NOOLers seen this band? $10 at me fave venue. Worthwhile or an excuse to drink $2 beers and listen to shitty music?

I have.. they're awful. One of those bands that should just retire.

I wouldn't waste the $10.

I don't know them and I don't care. I had to listen to a terrible opening act, The Cribs, for my Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab for Cutie for an hour . That's a downside, aside from leaving early to catch the last bus to my college.

I used to go out with a girl of (thread) name and was about to say don't be so harsh!

P.S. Does Hannah really mean "flower" in Japanese cos I used that "compliment" after a trip back from Japan and it cut zero ice  I'm sure someone told me that was true.

No, Hannah is Hebrew name. The Japanese word you're talking about is "hana" (pronounced hah-nah)

i hope you were forced to go to that show. Sounds like torture.

No, I wasn't forced. I bought a ticket after seeing a flyer about it. :thumb:

The "them" in the first sentence of my post refers to Kill Hannah, not Death Cab or Franz Ferdinand.

Kill Hannah are still around? I remember when someone posted about how good they were on a Smashing Pumpkins forum in the late '90s. I guess they were somehow related to SP because they're from Chicago.

Speaking of awful has-been bands, can anyone believe that the Goo Goo Dolls are still around? I have to review their album by Saturday for my school's paper.
