I don't to watch as much baseball as I wanted to, but Ichiro got 4 hits last night. Even though this is old news, I couldn't believe Johnny Damon went to the Yankees. He was one of the reasons why the Red Sox reversed the curse.

Well, Damon is being an egoistic idiot now. I'm getting tired of the Yankees now. My favorite players there are now Matsui and Randy Johnson. Yankees are absolute snobs. I used to like them, but they annoy me now.

Don't worry Ed, the Cubs will falter as well. You certainly are active in the transfer department, and that you've claimed both Edmonds and John Patterson back again. Compare that to one of the absentee managers who's had Chris Shelton on the bench the entire season so far.

just OCD on this stuff!! Edmunds? I dunno he has talent and I figured why not-I have not been getting any production...
Patterson? Livan Hernandez may be the anchor with the innings (brilliant last night-bullpen blew chunks)
but Patterson has GREAT stuff-his prob will be that most times The nats are anemic on offense-so he will pile ip innings strikeouts etc but if he was on a decent team get 15 wins...and ok seeing him get 13Ks against FLA (ok they do suck but still DAMN) had me thinking....
and yes I claimed Chone Figgins-I had wanted him in the league draft-so GO GET 'IM
Shelton? fab 1st month...we'll see how he adjust 2nd time round the league..I had Kazmir tonight (good kid-sleeper) he looks his hand was numb (we'll see) I was doiung fine but I had a few relievers get BOMBED (Isringhuasen and F. Cordero) that KILLED ME
I knew that these two teams would do spectacular. BoSox is No. 1 in the AL East Standings, while White Sox in No.1 in the Central Division. The World Series gave them the boost they need. Yankees is No.3 in the AL East division. As I said, Yankees are a bunch of snobs. Heck, Jeter and A-Rod lost with the U.S. team in th World Baseball Classics.
Let's go Orioles! I watched couple innings of the O's-Indians game the other night, 3 1/3 innings to be exact, and it was a scoring fest btw them. Hope the O's pitching staff can keep the team above water for the rest of the season, they certainly have the hitters and defense.
On a side note: Camden Yards features Boog's BBQ pit, excellent pull pork with a deceptively hot horseradish as garnish, beware of the horseradish. Great place to watch a game, old-fashion ballpark with open, airy feel stadium. Tremendous architecture blending charm city's downtown facades.
I'm a fan of Ichiro too, exciting player!

Camden Yards is a great park. Amazes me a lot of the newer parks have been influenced by it....really I wanna see PNC Park in Pittsburgh too.....and Fenway, Wrigley yada yada

Yes, Patterson has great stuff indeed; in their first game against the Mets this year, he pitched extremely well, but the Mets went out and dug out some hits on some excellent pitches. Yes, he received next to no support offensively (in fact, after he was pulled, he was shown on camera clearly agitated by what had happened on the field).
Joe Lieber had three bad starts in a row, killing me, so I cut him, but Isringhausen has always sucked.....why do you think the Mets got rid of him years ago? ;)
I rememeber when Izzy, Paul Wilson, and Bill Pulseipher were "Generation X" about 10 years or so ago for The Mets-themn they all went out and had various arm shoulder issues and 
I wonder if the Mariners improved their management. I heard some great news with Johjima and that young pitcher, Felix Hernandez. When Ichiro started out, they were the No. 1 team in the AL West Division. Since then, they have been downhill.
I'm watching the Seattle and Detroit game on Yahoo's Gamechannel Stattracker right now. Detroit scored a point from a sacrifice hit.
I get the feeling that Joe Torre might be looking at his last year in the skipper seat, if the Yanks fail to get into the Series again 
As much as I loath the Steinbrenner-era Yanks of late, it would be a shame for Joe to get the boot. I'd rather see him retire gracefully, but a firing could have the effect of getting Steinbrenner out of the picture (and I still can't believe JD is playing for them...say it ain't so, Johnny! )
Also, Tony LaRussa is totally overrated as a manager
